Secondary Transfer
Tuesday 2nd March 2025 was the National Offer Day for Secondary School Places and you should have been informed as to which secondary school place your child has been offered. By now, Brent Council should have written to you with the outcome of your school application.
If you applied online, the outcome of your application should have been readily accessible via your e-mail account, after 5pm on the 2nd March 2025
You will need to reply - indicating whether you wish to accept or decline the offer or whether you have secured a place at an alternative school. Please state the name of the alternative school on the form. This needs to be done by 16th March 2025
Please note that an offer may be withdrawn if you do not reply on time.
The ‘offer document’ will indicate which schools your child is on the waiting list for, if you have not been offered a place for the higher preference school(s) of your choice. If, at a later date, Brent Council are able to offer your child a place at a higher-ranked preference, any previous offers will automatically be withdrawn. Please bear in mind that being on a waiting list is no guarantee of a place at that school.
If you have not received an offer from a school of your preference, you have the right to appeal. An appeal must be made in writing. Please see the Secondary School Transfer Guide for guidance on this, or contact Brent School Admissions Service – 02089373110. Alternatively, please feel free to book an appointment to speak with Ms Siddiqui at your earliest convenience.
