Welcome to our website

There are lots of wonderful and exciting things happening at our school and this website will help give you a sense of who we are and what we do.

Ethos, Vision and Values

A vision has to be shared and nurtured, it has to incorporate all aspects of the community in which we live and, above all, it has to be built on dreams but also be realistic and achievable. My vision is clear as to the high standards of education that I demand for the pupils of Oakington Manor. Children only get one chance at education...

SCHOOL WILL CLOSE 16TH JULY AT 3.30PM FOR THE SUMMER.

RSE (Relationships & Sex Education) Consultation

Dear Parents

As a part of your child’s educational experience at Excellence in Education, we aim to promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive taught programme of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education that gives children and young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthy, safe, productive and fulfilled lives, both now and in the future.

As you may already be aware, the Department for Education has announced changes to relationships and sex education following nationwide consultation. These changes will come into effect from September 2020 and all schools will be required to comply with the updated requirements. The statutory guidance can be found at:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/relationships-education-relationships-and-sex-education-rse-and-health-education

Following on from our zoom consultation meeting on 8th July 2020 and sharing of our draft RSE policy on 23rd June 2020, we are now publishing our draft policy, planning and resourcing information for parents. Your views are important to us and we have established a working party, of parents and staff, to finalise our policy and curriculum.

Please note the consultation will close on Friday 31st July 2020

Dear Parents

Like most of you, we feel very uncertain about what is going to happen in the coming weeks. The impact of COVID-19 is changing so much about the way we live and work.

We encourage all of you to access any support systems you have, whether it is talking on the phone to friends and family, reaching out for support online, or finding new ways to keep children engaged. Remember it is the simple pleasures that can keep us uplifted. We can still read books, listen to music, simply talk or play games as families. May be even challenge yourself and your children to learn a new skill or develop a new hobby, the options are limitless!

We thank you for supporting the school and each other. A special thank you to those who work in critical and essential Services.

Please follow the advice on the NHS 111 website, stay safe, healthy and look after each other.

We look forward to welcoming you all back soon.
