YEAR 1 - Home Learning

YEAR 1 (Progressing To Year 2) - Summer Home Learning

Dear Parents & Carers,

Please find below details of your child's summer homework. Make sure that you access the correct homework to be completed.

For example: if your child is going up to Year 2 in September, 2020, you must complete the work attached for Year 2.

Have a restful and enjoyable summer

Ms Bennett

Head of Year 2

Summer 2 : Weeks 3, 4 & 5

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope this finds you well.

As you know the Year 1 teachers are all  in school for some of the children who are back. For those parents who have elected not to return their children back to school at this time, we have made sure to set work that reflects what we will be covering in class so that no child misses out. The work set is for three weeks as the History project will take at least a week to do.

Have fun with the activities set and please send a message on DB Primary or call the school office if you need any help.

Take care and Keep safe,

Mrs Vernalls

All work for Year 1 has been allocated on DB Primary

Summer 1 : Week 3 & 4

Dear Parents/Carers,

Hope you are well and safe.

Please find attached a timetable and set work for the children.

All the work is on DB Primary and the Grammar work is on Bug Club along with their reading.

Maths is not attached here as they are differentiated for the groups and will be on Db Primary.

Please remember that the timetable is a guide only .

Thank you for all your efforts so far.

All our best wishes,

Year 1 Team

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope this finds you well and safe.

We have allocated some tasks for the children on DB Primary for English, Maths and a  Science  project. We have also assigned you some Maths games to complete.

Please use the next couple of weeks to complete. The activities are also attached to this email.

Phonics - You may notice soon that Literacy Planet will not allow you to log in. This is because it was a trial and we have decided not to purchase because the children are unable to use it in the way we want. We are in the process of purchasing another phonics online support and will inform you asap.

Reading - please carry on reading on Bug Club, Vooks and Storyline online and of course, any books you have at home.

We miss the children very much and hope that they are creating memories with you through  cooking together, reading together, playing games together or craft making with you.

We hope to see you all soon but in the mean time, as much as you can,

Stay Home   Protect the NHS    Save lives

Keep Safe,

Year 1 Team
